Richard W. Schmidt
At Blasingame, Burch, Garrard & Ashley, P.C., Attorney Richard W. Schmidt practices in the Lake Oconee office. He is a skilled and experienced real estate and business lawyer. Richard focuses his practice on all aspects of commercial and residential real estate development, banking and secured lending, construction, property tax appeals, zoning, local government law; and corporate, buy-sell, business agreements.
With every case, Richard listens, understands, and works toward practical, real-life solutions for his clients.
Richard grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota. He attended the University of Georgia where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 1985 and his J.D. in 1988.
When he is not working, Richard enjoys giving back to his community. Currently, he serves on the Greene County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, as well as the Lake Oconee Academy Charter School Board of Governors. Along with his wife, Richard has five children. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities including fishing, bicycling, and arts, including photography, painting, and furniture building.
