Tommy J. Jeffords

Lake Oconee real estate attorney Tommy Jeffords is committed to providing clients of Blasingame, Burch, Garrard & Ashley, P.C. with the highest level of customer and professional services. In every instance, he strives to create an inviting atmosphere and a pleasant transaction. His goal is for his clients to feel comfortable throughout every stage of representation. Always diligent, Tommy uses his extreme attention to detail in regards to transactional work in order to ensure that his clients receive the best legal services possible.

Tommy is originally from Spartanburg, South Carolina. He attended Clemson University where he received his B.S., then went on to attend the University of Georgia where he earned his M.B.A. Following this, Tommy earned his J.D. from Georgia State University.

At Blasingame, Burch, Garrard & Ashley, P.C., Tommy assists clients with everything from residential real estate closings to secured lending, corporate law, foreclosures, real property law, and estate planning. Says Tommy, “We like to practice ‘happy law’ within the real estate section of the firm. It is not uncommon for people to have tears of joy at the closing table because of the emotions involved in a residential real estate transactions. Any closing where I can see the joy in a client’s face at the closing table is a case I am proud of.”

In every case he takes on, Tommy understands the importance of communication. When he is handling a difficult closing, he believes in handling the transaction through clear and open dialogue with the client, agent, lender, broker, seller, title companies, and other involved parties. Tommy relies on his experience in the legal realm to soothe his clients’ fears about the process, providing the insight and knowledge that comes from years of experience.

When he is not working at the firm, Tommy enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashley, and two sons, Colby and Camden. He also remains active in his community. Currently, he is on the Board of Directors for the Lake Oconee Academy Foundation, and is the past Co-Chair of Putnam/Greene Young Professionals, the past Secretary/Treasurer of the Ocmulgee Bar Association, and past President of Leadership Greene.
