BBGA Shareholder Serves on UGA Health Policy Seminar Panel
BBGA shareholder Sara Schramm spoke recently at the University of Georgia.
Sara was part of a panel at a UGA Health Policy Seminar taught by Assistant Professor Dr. Grace Bagwell Adams, Health Policy & Management, Institute of Gerontology at the UGA College of Public Health.
The seminar focused on the vision for the community foundation, fostering strategic philanthropy, and how the Athens Wellbeing Project could best serve the foundation and the community.
Founded in 2008, the Athens Area Community Foundation aims to improve the quality of life in a six-county region and beyond, by helping donors shape effective responses to community needs.
The Athens Wellbeing Project (AWP) is a collaboration among the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government, Clarke County School District, Athens Area Community Foundation, Family Connection-Communities in Schools, United Way of Northeast Georgia, the Athens Housing Authority, and the University of Georgia. The organization’s mission is to empower the Athens community with meaningful data that will lead to more informed decision-making, improvements in service delivery, and greater quality of life for Athens’ citizens.
